First, this is an evolving website that will change throughout the year. So, please be patient and allow the site to grow and develop.
How it is going to work
I have grown to realize that the most important thing I can do with my time is to give it to someone else. To share with someone else lessons I have learned along the journey and just as important to learn from them about their journey. We help each other rejoice, grow and avoid the same mistakes. When we do life together with the Scriptures as our guide and the Lord as our light, we begin to walk in obedience and grow in faithfulness.
Purposefully and intentionally sharing life together is what this website is all about. This is not a program, it is a tool to be used to spur conversations, to challenge our comforts and to press forward in sharpening each other spiritually. It is the joining of life together because life is meant to do with others, not alone.
So, find a friend and start a conversation about God. Read the blog and look up the passages of Scripture. Challenge someone to join you in your spiritual development. Begin with 1 cup and make it a goal to have 40 cups as a marker of time spent. I guarantee you will benefit from it.
“Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
About
Dr. Paul Stumpf. My life is filled with blessing after blessing. I am married to a brilliant, Godly and beautiful wife named Amy. I have two grown children who love life to the fullest and have chosen to walk with the Lord personally. For the last twenty years, I have had the pleasure of shepherding a growing, changing and wonderful group of people at Colton Community Church. For the last few years, I have taught Oral Communications at California Baptist University. For a kid who grew up on the very poor side of the tracks in a broken and dysfunctional home, the Lord has transformed my life in ways above and beyond all I could think or imagine.
I believe that discipleship is vital to a healthy and transformative church. When we impart into others insights from the Lord and share the lessons He is always teaching us, we become wise stewards of those lessons. It is my hope that you will follow this simple formula for advancing the kingdom of God. It was modeled to us by Jesus, who invested in just a few, it was lived out by the Apostle Paul who traveled with a few. It has successfully been used for at least two-thousand years. Let’s take this well known simple process of sharing Christ with one another faithfully over a period of time and make a world of difference. At the end of my life, I want written about me, not my degrees or titles, but a simple statement that says, “He followed God with all his heart.” Let’s do this together.
